[이호열 박사의 연예뉴스 '영어로 따라잡기']옥소리 기자회견 네티즌 엇갈린 반응

지난 28일 열린 옥소리 기자회견에 대한 네티즌의 반응 또한 뜨겁다. '도를 넘어섰다'라는 분노의 의견과 함께 약간의 동정론이 동시에 일고 있는 것.

박철과의 파경 소식에 묵묵부답으로 있던 옥소리(사진)는 최근 기자회견에서 파경 원인으로 알려진 외국인 요리사와는 부적절한 관계가 아니고, 지난 2006년에 3개월여 동안 성악가겸 가수 정모 씨와 연인 사이였다고 밝혔다. 또 박철이 문제를 많이 일으켜 자신이 이혼을 여러 차례 요구했다고 말했다.

한 네티즌은 "바람 피지 않은 상황에서 이혼을 해야지, 그걸 말이라고 하는가"라며 "자신의 불륜을 조금이라도 정당화하기 위한 것"이라고 말했다. 이렇듯 다수의 네티즌이 옥소리의 발언이 도를 넘어섰다며 부정적인 시선을 보내고 있다.

반면, 동정론에 무게를 실어주는 네티즌도 있었다. 한 네티즌은 "처음엔 무조건 옥소리씨가 문제가 있구나 라고 생각했는데, 부부 사이의 문제는 정말 모르겠다"는 입장을 보였다.

또 다른 네티즌은 "연예인이다 보니 대중에게 늘 행복한 모습을 보여주느라 힘들었을 것"이라는 반응을 보였다.

Unacceptable VS. Understandable.

Netizen's response to So-Ri OK's press interview was nothing less than controversial. There are two poles of opinions one of which says that she went too far and the other with more sympathetic voices. So-Ri OK, having been holding her tongue on the divorce, at the recent interview, broke the silence by stating that she didn't have an inappropriate relationship with a foreign chef which had been misled as the cause for divorce. However, she admitted that she and an opera singer Mr. Jung had been lovers. She said that many times she demanded divorce since her husband Chul Park stirred up so many problems.

One netizen criticized, "Her reasoning is not acceptable that divorce was brought up after she cheated on her husband" and remarked, "as if she tries to justify her adultery." Most of the netizens look at her with unfavorable eyes feeling that Ok's claims to be a little too much. On the other hand, there were some netizens with a more sympathetic view. One of them said, "I thought Ok was the one with problems, but outsiders really can't know couples' marital relations." Another netizen said, "It must've been very hard to have always had to show to the public as one happy couple."
